By 2030, The Creative Economy Council of the Philippines (CECP) envisions the country as a top creative economy in the ASEAN. With recent artistic breakthroughs like the debut of highly-anticipated thriller “Trese” on Netflix, The Great Northwest in La Union, and Filipino gamers and content creators making waves in the digital arena, the goal seems probable. “Creative Futures,” a two-day digital event gathering industry leaders and veterans, seeks to accelerate the journey toward this vision.
The monstrous yet adorable Yati! takes center stage at Lean Luis Reboja’s exhibit, Wild Child: Going Lite: (Episode 1 Yati). This creature takes on an unusual and unexpected appearance, but there’s something else that’s more surprising than its aesthetics—something that even the visual artist himself did not expect.
