The award-winning musical “Hamilton” is set to make its Asian premiere in Manila this September at The Theatre at Solaire for a limited season.
After successful runs in Sydney, Melbourne, and Brisbane, the production will begin its first-ever international tour in Auckland this May. The production will then travel to Manila to make its highly anticipated Asian premiere with a cast comprising performers all over the world. The show has won numerous awards, including Tony, Grammy, Olivier, and Pulitzer Prize for Drama.
“Hamilton” tells the story of Alexander Hamilton, one of America’s founding fathers, through a blend of hip-hop, jazz, R&B, and Broadway music. The musical is based on Ron Chernow’s acclaimed biography and features a creative team that previously worked on the Tony Award-winning musical “In the Heights.”
The international tour of “Hamilton” is produced by Jeffrey Seller, Sander Jacobs, Jill Furman, The Public Theater, and Michael Cassel, with the Manila season presented by GMG Productions. Tickets go on sale on April 24 through TicketWorld.

Hamilton producer Jeffrey Seller expressed his excitement, saying: “Audiences have embraced Hamilton with an enthusiasm we could never have imagined.” Michael Cassel, producer of the international tour, called the “Hamilton” musical theatre at its most innovative, original, and transformative best.
GMG Productions’ CEO Carlos Candal expressed his enthusiasm for hosting the Asian premiere in Manila, noting the passionate Hamilton fan base in the Philippines, and stated that “Pinoy Hamilfans will not disappoint!”
