Watches and Wonders returns to Geneva this coming spring

One of the largest trade shows in the watchmaking world will open its doors in March.

Watches and Wonders—one of the largest trade shows in the horological world—is set to return to Geneva this spring. From March 27 to April 2, 48 watchmaking brands and maisons will display their latest creations and collections.

It’s a highly anticipated event for anyone who’s interested in watchmaking, with exclusive previews, hands-on demos, and panel discussions. Often, it sets the tone of the industry for the rest of the year.

This year, each day of the expo will have around six talks for attendees. Renowned experts and speakers have been lined up to discuss watch trends, explain what makes a watch valuable, or how to start a vintage watch collection. The metaverse, NFTs, blockchain and circularity are also slated for discussion.

While the Watches and Wonders Salon is the highlight of the expo, the city of Geneva itself will host some of the events. Major watch stores on Rue du Rhône and Rues Basses will open their doors to unveil special designs, ornate pieces, and rare watch complications during an orchestrated rally.

Each participating boutique will hold special activities to welcome visitors and showcase their expertise, and a special evening event dedicated to watchmaking will be held in the Rues Basses on March 30.

For both new and veteran watchmaking enthusiasts, Watches and Wonders is an opportunity to be drawn into the horological world. And with concerts, street entertainment, and famous artists throughout the occasion, it looks like Geneva is the place to be this spring.  And in case you can’t make it to Switzerland, you can follow along on their online platform.
