For their 50th anniversary, the product design studio and brand explores the elements that art and automobiles share.

Earlier this month, Karrera Showroom, in partnership with Galleria Duemila, held a week-long celebration of Porsche Design Manila’s 50th anniversary.

“Art in Motion” featured not only different generations of the Porsche 911 (and enthusiasts hard at work customizing vehicles), but also works from traditional, industrial, and functional artists: Khriss Bajade, JB Gamboa, Royd X Yuj, Wataru Sakuma, Jinggoy Buensuceso, Pete Jimenez and Trek Valdizno.

Enthusiasts of Porsche gather for a day of art and automobiles at the Karrera Showroom.

These artists explored different creative interpretations inspired by the German brand’s iconic aesthetic, themes and issues surrounding automobiles, and reflections on technological advancements.

From repurposed car parts to multimedia works, “Art in Motion” presented dynamic expressions and commentary on the relationship of art and automobiles.
