Twenty-three labels showcase the creative ethos of today’s Filipino fashion landscape.
MaArte at the Pen physically returns this year at the Peninsula Manila, and it’s back with the next generation of Filipino fashion talent.
In partnership with the PHx Fashion Group, PHxMaArte is a special section of the fair that pushes Philippine contemporary fashion to the forefront. In line with MaArte’s vision of celebrating the Filipino creative soul, the PHx Fashion Group takes over ten rooms of the Peninsula Manila’s 5th floor to showcase 23 brands that represent today’s contemporary fashion landscape.

The section will feature a varied group that casts the spotlight on emerging talent, introducing the MaArte clientele to contemporary Filipino fashion practitioners: Alexie, Basic Movement, Feanne, Land of Nod, Mich Dulce, VIÑA ROMERO, BAGASÁO, Café City Club, HA.MÜ, Tropik Beatnik, Kelvin Morales, Neil Felipp, Jude Macasinag, JMakitalo, nicolò, Randolf, Jill Lao, Lilianna Manahan, ec, and Eustacia.
The PHx Fashion Group also worked in consultation with the fashion design department of the De La Salle – College of Saint Benilde (CSB), SoFA Design Institute, and iAcademy, to feature deserving graduates as part of the PHxMaArte selection: CLIO DL by Clio de Leon of CSB, Le Ngok by Jiale Zhang of SoFA, and Kill Joy Studios by Eugene Malabad of iAcademy.

The PHx Fashion Group is an initiative conceptualized in 2019 by designer Joseph Bagasao and creative entrepreneur Esme Palaganas, with the support of art advocate Trickie Lopa. It aims to propel fledgling Filipino fashion brands to a global level. The group also seeks to create a community where discussions on business and the nurturing of design talents are essential to a healthy, creative fashion economy.
Meanwhile, MaArte at the Pen is a fundraising bazaar that benefits the Museum Foundation of the Philippines. It seeks to raise funds and awareness for the National Museum of the Philippines and its network.

MaArte at the Pen runs from August 19 to 21, 2022 at the Peninsula Manila’s Ayala Wing, 5th, 6th, and 7th floors. For more information, visit MaArte’s official Facebook and Instagram accounts.
