There’s nothing standard about The Standard’s trendy and cool brand of hospitality—and that’s why we’re excited to go to Bangkok now.
Months before its debut in Thailand, The Standard Bangkok Mahanakhon caused a stir when news of its arrival broke out.
It isn’t unusual, though; the boutique hotel, which counts New York City, Ibiza, and Maldives—among other popular destinations—as its homes, has made a name for itself, thanks to its playful yet unconventional approach to hospitality.

Located at one of the most iconic skyscrapers in Bangkok—the high-rise, pixel-decked King Power Mahanakhon—the flagship is now open for business, and that’s great news for gourmet aficionados and lifestyle savants.
Here are some of the establishments that we are looking forward to try when we visit The Standard Bangkok Mahanakhon:
Mott 32

This world-renowned Cantonese restaurant from Hong Kong opens its first branch in The Standard Bangkok Mahanakhon. Its name comes from 32 Mott Street in New York, the location of the city’s first Chinese convenience store which opened in 1851. We’re on the lookout for their Apple Wood-Roasted Peking Duck and Barbeque Honey Glazed Iberico Pork.
Ojo Bangkok

Award-winning chef Francisco Paco Ruano takes the lead in delivering contemporary Mexican cuisine and cocktails to Bangkok. Ojo Bangkok will take over the hotel’s Sky Bar. The panoramic views from the 76th floor are a definite plus.
Sky Beach

Sky Beach, an al fresco rooftop bar with magnificent 360-degree views of the city, will be located on top of Ojo.
The highest rooftop bar in Bangkok provides you with breathtaking 360-degree views of the capital city while dancing into the night, drink in hand and in good company.
The Parlor

The casual, bright, and cozy vibe of The Parlor is the perfect space to socialize, unwind, and enjoy at a leisurely pace. DJ sets, lectures by tastemakers, and other events are usually held at the space. The menu offers international comfort food and contemporary Thai classics.
Tease

Tease is a cheeky twist on the afternoon tea tradition, offering curated tea selections paired with sweet and savory bites and eye-catching interiors. All that they want you to know is that you should expect the unexpected.
The Standard Grill

The American steakhouse meets traditional Asian flavors at the Standard Grill. Fusing flavors from New York and Bangkok, the all-day dining spot offers both classic and unexpected dining experiences.
With global travel slowly coming back to its feet, we’re excited to discover renewed and reinvigorated travel, lifestyle, and culinary experiences—and The Standard Bangkok will definitely be on top of our list.
