Zero to sixty in 3.9 seconds.
Coming hot off the tracks for a speed test just a few days ago, the Roush F-150 Nitemare is an insanely fast beast of a truck. Zero to sixty in 3.9 seconds isn’t something to laugh at, especially for something this size. That’s faster than a lot of sports cars out there, when you think about it.
Roush has been known to soup up F-150s before, but this one takes a place in the top shelf for speed. Under the hood, the Nitemare is packing a ROUSH TVS R2650 Supercharger System, which has been integrated with a 5.0-liter Ford V8. It throws out a massive 650 horsepower and 610 lb-ft of torque, which means it’s got the guts to back up its sub-4-seconds claim. Obviously, that’s a bit much for hauling stuff out of a garage, but line it up for track day and you can watch the jaws drop (wouldn’t advise it when you’re going this fast, though).
The Nitemare comes equipped with 22-inch wheels, hockey stripes on the sides, and a stylish front grille with accent lights on it. It’s also got custom sounds—for the exhaust. The side-exit exhaust tips give it a bit more racing charm, and the sound is toned by the Roush Performance exhaust system. There’s also the option to get the Active Exhaust System, which lets you choose between four settings: touring mode, wide-open mode, sport mode, and custom mode.
In any case, this a truck that’s meant to push the limits (and maybe break a few records). And if you want to see the Nitemare in action, check out the video below as it pulls its weight around on the track.
