The Rolls-Royce Phantom: The Jewel in the Crown

With nearly limitless options for personalization, the Phantom is the latest in luxury.

It was in 1904 when Henry Royce met Charles Rolls in Manchester. Two years later, they launched the Silver Ghost, which was hailed “the best car in the world” in 1907.

It was a stellar start, and it would set the tone for years to come.

Beyond luxury automobiles, the company’s rich history included engineering innovations for British aviation. Rolls Royce engines powered British planes in the First and Second World Wars, and later launched into civil aviation.

It was always the motor cars that loomed large in the public imagination, though. In the 1930s, it was the Phantom III, the first ever Rolls-Royce to be built with a V12 engine. In the 1940s, it was the Silver Wraith.

Perhaps it’s the craftsmanship. Or the elegance of each model. Whatever the reason, the Rolls-Royce has attracted luminaries of all kinds: actors, rock stars, even royalty.

Today, over a hundred years after the company was founded, that same prestige persists. And now, you can see it in the new Rolls-Royce Phantom.
